LG launches its 3D BD670 Blu-ray player with in-built Wi-Fi
Do you like this story?
LG Electronics India has today launched the BD670 3D Blu-ray player which supports Blu-ray 3D disk playback in full HD 1080p when paired with 3D TVs and also offers online connectivity. With Wi-Fi on-board, users can use the LG SmartTV function for easy access to apps like AccuWeather, Picasa, YouTube, I-play TV, Google Maps and V-Tuner. Since this Blu-ray player is also Wi-Fi Direct certified, it can connect with other Wi-Fi devices directly without actually requiring a Wi-Fi hotspot. With DLNA functionality, one can share your files easily with other DLNA certified devices. And if you have an Android smartphone, then you can use your phone as a remote control for this player by downloading the LG Remote App on your Android device. Of course, all this does not come cheap – you will have to shell out something in the range of Rs 16,000 – Rs 20,000 (yes, the release gives us that range) to get it. Blu-ray still costs a pretty paisa, we guess.
